Craig Norford appointed Managing Director for RedSky IT
RedSky IT is pleased to announce that from the 1st January 2012, following a period as Deputy Managing Director, Craig Norford has been appointed Managing Director of RedSky IT.
Craig has been with the Group (originally Misys PLC) since 1993, and has spent most of this time with RedSky IT. Craig was educated in Scotland where he studied Geology. He started his business career with a regional contractor G Percy Trentham, spending two years being responsible for their cashflow during the recession of the early 1990’s. Whilst at Trentham he was introduced to and used the MENTOR and Buildax products, and since then has also used both AXiM and Summit in the real world.
Craig has an MBA that focussed on the Software industry and he completed his dissertation on models for developing, selling, and delivering software objects. He has been responsible for Finance at RedSky IT since 1997, dealing with the sale and due diligence process of RedSky IT on two occasions, and advising on acquisitions for other parts of the Group.
With four young children, he has a range of interests which keeps him grounded and with them he is enjoying learning a lot of new things.
Craig has committed a large proportion of his professional life to RedSky IT and wants to retain and build on past successes. He is, and always will be, happy to talk to and meet with customers about their issues or concerns. He will do all he can to ensure that the business relationships that have grown so much over the past five years continue to develop and prosper.
This appointment follows the appointment of Mike Aspinwall, RedSky IT’s previous MD, as Chief Operating Officer of Explorer Group, RedSky IT's parent company. Mike will continue to be a part of RedSky IT as he attempts to grow and integrate the three global businesses, guide product strategy, and build on the synergies that result from them all being focused in the Construction sector.
