from Mike Voyce, Sales & Marketing Director of RedSky IT
RedSky IT won the BEST CONSTRUCTION PROCESS MANAGEMENT 2008 award. This was based on their implementation of their Summit 5000 fully integrated solution at Baxall Construction. They are integrating the key business areas of Estimating, procurement financials and contract management so they can efficiently manage the process of a contract from tender to final account.
The awards were presented to the customer and IT vendor partnership that had demonstrated to the judging panel a clear IT strategy and a successful implementation that had produced the most tangible business benefits.
Editor of iTSHOWCASE News and one of the judges of the Awards, Alison Jones, commented: "When the going gets tough - the tough get going and the award entrants this year have certainly proved that in spite of adverse economic conditions, there is still great business to be done, with the process and cost efficiencies that technology can bring to the sector still much in evidence.
"Our thanks to everyone who took the time to enter this year's competition and many congratulations to those who took home the awards, " Jones added.
RedSky IT's managing director Mike Aspinwall commented "We are delighted in Winning this award as it proves there are real cost saving benefits and process efficiencies from implementing our fully integrated Summit solution. With the current economic climate achieving these savings is more important than ever".

Over the last year RedSky have welcomed 26 new Summit solutions to its all ready large client base, with many companies wanting to take advantage of a single integrated system covering the complete construction management process, from estimating, sub contract tendering, ordering the sub contract packages, requisitions and ordering or plant and materials, managing plant, valuations, financials and payroll. The flexibility of being able to deploy the system on Windows/SQL Server or Linux/Oracle as well as a choice of web or windows user interface has also contributed to it popularity.
