Fraud Prevention and System Security top of the agenda at the National User Group

It was great to see so many people at the National User Group, which took place recently in Derby. User Groups are important events in our calendar. They are one of the ways we get to meet with customers, hear their views, and gain vital feedback on our software and services. We use the feedback to continually develop and improve what we do and are delighted to be able to work with this independent group for the good of all customers using our software.

The main theme for this event was accounting rules and fraud prevention and we would like to thank Craig Burton and Tim Thornton of top accountancy and business advisory firm BDO for their informative keynote presentations. After lunch the product specific sessions continued with the theme by taking a detailed look at the tools available in each product that could help prevent fraud, minimise the risk of fraud, or report on activity in areas that could lead to fraud. These sessions also covered administration best practice in relation to system security.

We also thank Anthony Doyle of Portview Fit-Out Ltd for his presentation explaining how his company is using RedSkyIT’s Xcipio software to drive process efficiencies through their business using Document Management, Email Archiving, and Forms with 40 users on site capturing data on iPads.

Jim McFarlane, President and CEO of JDM Technology Group, provided an update on the Group including information on the latest acquisition; Computer Guidance Corporation based in Phoenix Arizona. The Group now comprises four companies serving over 3,500 customers on six continents.

RedSkyIT’s Managing Director, Craig Norford, also took the opportunity to repeat the commitment to support ALL RedSkyIT products for as long as customers wish to use them. This mean whether you are using Summit1000 (formerly CONSTRUCT), Summit2000 (formerly AXiM), MENTOR Enterprise, Dema, or Progression you are assured of the same commitment to support and maintenance as for the flagship Summit3000/5000, SummitAEC, and Xcipio software.
