RedSky IT wins another award
Leading contractor The Knight Group and RedSky IT have won the Best Return on Investment Award at the recent Interbuild IT Showcase 2006 Awards.
Judges were impressed with the savings made by The Knight Group in their use of the Summit 2000 and Xchange e-procurement solutions, which helps the company to save over £24,000 a year. They have managed to decrease the cost of purchase ordering from approximately £1.00 per order to 26p per order.
Two other projects with Faber Maunsell and MITIE Scotgate also made the shortlists and were commended by judges from the trade bodies Construct IT and Constructing Excellence, as well as IT Showcase News magazine.
The Faber Maunsell project was commended for its use of Progression AEC and Informate solution for project accounting, time capture and knowledge management, which helps over 20,000 Faber Maunsell staff access business information every day.
Facilities management business MITIE Scotgate was also commended for the increased service levels for their Annington Homes project by using Summit Service Management and Informate products to give staff, contractors, solicitors and tenants access to relevant service information.
The winners were announced during InterBuild at Birmingham’s NEC, the largest construction industry event of the calendar. Mark Chambers picked up the award on behalf of RedSky IT.
