RedSkyIT Autumn User Group Event

The next RedSkyIT User Group event takes place at the Hilton East Midland Airport Hotel near Derby on Thursday 9th October. The agenda has been finalised and registration is now open.

Hear from Explorer Software Group CEO, Jim McFarlane, and COO, Mike Aspinwall as well as from RedSkyIT’s Managing Director, Craig Norford with an update on company strategy, operational performance, and an insight into upcoming product developments. This will be followed by a product update including a demonstration of software that can help your company capture and account for overhead costs.

Guest speakers at this event are from BDO, the world's 5th largest accountancy and business advisory firm providing a wide range of services to businesses within the UK and worldwide:

Tracey Kenworthy (Forensic Accounting Senior Manager) will examine the different types of fraud in the work place. Using case studies specific to the Construction Industry, case studies of common fraud, and general frauds including unauthorised changes to supplier payee details. With top tips to help you manage the associated business risks this is a sure to be a valuable session.

Craig Burton (Partner/Business Assurance) will walk delegates through the key changes to the General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Financial Reporting Standard for Small Entities (FRSSE), and FRS18, which come into force in the coming months. This will be a useful session for anyone involved in the production of management accounts.

After lunch the sessions will continue with the theme of system security and fraud prevention looking at the tools available in each product that could help prevent or limit fraud in your business. Separate sessions will run for Summit, Dema, and MENTOR and will include hints & tips to help you get more from your system.

Throughout the day delegates also have the opportunity to book informal 1-2-1 sessions with members of our Support and Consultancy teams in the ever popular Learning Lab.
