RedSky IT wins Financial Software Provider of the Year

At Thursday night's glittering CBI Real Finance Awards, which took place at the Hilton on Park Lane in London, RedSky IT beat off competition from Access Accounting, CODA, Sage, SAP and Sun Accounts to win a customer satisfaction award with its construction financial software in the category of Financial Software Provider of the Year - Larger Implementations.

Every year, Real Finance magazine, a monthly publication for financial directors, issues its satisfaction survey. One of the questions in the survey asks companies with a turnover of over £50m to nominate their preferred supplier for financial software, and then rank the software and support with marks out of ten.

The magazine received nearly 600 completed responses and RedSky IT was the only company to have made the shortlist whose name was not pre-published on the survey. When asked "who provides your financial software?" customers scrolled through the preset list of financial software providers and ticked the box labelled "other" and actively nominated RedSky IT. The company won this award because it was the only organisation to have received an average score from its customers of over 7 out of ten.

RedSky IT has been supplying financial software to the construction industry for over 30 years and has 40% of the top 100 contractors and 14 of the top 50 consultants using its products. Its range of products includes enterprise software aimed at the larger construction organisations and is a key part of the product strategy for the specialist industry provider.

“This award is a real testament to the excellent quality of product and service that we deliver to our customers. It confirms that our development strategy with our financial suite is working and shows how strong our product is when it competes and wins against some global brands like Sage, Sun and SAP. It’s also pleasing to be able to raise awareness of the construction industry’s use of financial software – something that has not happened a great deal in the past,” says Mark Chambers, Managing Director of RedSky IT.

In addition, RedSky IT was also a finalist in the category of Financial Software Provider of the Year - Smaller Implementations. The company was nominated along with Access Accounting, Iris (Exchequer), Navision (Microsoft), Pegasus, Sage, SAP and Sun Accounts.
