RedSky IT launches Summit 3000 at Construction Computing

Following customer feedback and the launch of the new Oracle Express Edition Database, RedSky IT has developed a new contract financial management software product for SMEs called Summit 3000.

Based on the successful Summit 2000 product, which is used by over 600 firms, Summit 3000 offers further powerful reporting capabilities, improved business data access and enhanced functionality by being developed using the Oracle relational database.

It is the first budget level product to be delivered by RedSky IT in partnership with Oracle and over £150,000 of new IT systems have been sold in the past month as a result of this new system entering the market. Contractor Carmac Building & Civil Engineering Ltd is a new customer for RedSky IT and an example of one business that was attracted to the power of Oracle and opted for a five user Summit 3000 system.

Finance Manager at Colburn, Mark Chambers, said: “We’ve been really pleased with the Summit 2000 system and we want to continue improving on efficiency and our ability to get even more from the system in terms of cost management. An added draw is that Summit 3000 is easier to use and is delivered on the Oracle Database a powerful combination that helps future proof our investment. ”

Stuart Nutbeen, Sales and Marketing Director of RedSky IT, said: “We are delighted to launch the Summit 3000 product at Construction Computing following some great early feedback from our customer base. Our decision to deliver this mid range product upon the new Oracle Database 10g express edition means that customers will get the most up to date relational database offering improved reporting tools to get at business critical data. We can now offer a complete software family which accommodates business growth starting with our Summit 1000 product through to Summit 3000 and finally Summit 5000 for Top 100 firms.”
