New ‘Summit’ scaled as major construction firms sign up

Following the successful launch of its new IT solution, named Summit, RedSky IT have announced the latest wave of key construction clients to use the technology, from the top tier of contractors in the UK and Ireland.

Summit provides a real-time view of business performance on an hour by hour basis, reducing data errors and the need for manual intervention. The new product, which is a first in its sector, aims to help contractors manage projects remotely reducing the risk of cost or time overruns.

Since its launch in 2004 Summit has been further enhanced and now offers an operational IT solution for major house builders and developers - giving them an enterprise-wide scalable solution based on a core platform of Oracle technology.

The latest big name firms to sign up to use Summit include McNamara Construction one of the largest contractors in Ireland and Nacap Lawrence, a joint venture contractor who focus on the utilities and airport sector across the UK. Within the professional services sector companies including Owen Williams, Scott Wilson and Mouchel Parkman have also chosen Summit. RedSky IT have also just announced Banner Homes as its first leading house builder client to use the new technology in the South of England.

RedSky IT Managing Director Mark Chambers said: “The fact that clients of this size and calibre have become new adopters of the Summit system is proof of its impact on the contractor community. It is the only IT solution that covers the whole construction process from costing to operational management in one package and is totally unique. The development of the software geared towards house builders demonstrates that we are keen to ensure Summit can be used by a variety of companies working in the construction industry.” He said.
