RTI Workshops at March User Group Meeting

The next independent User Group event takes place at the Hilton East Midland Airport Hotel near Derby on Thursday 7th March. The theme for this meeting will be around HR and Payroll to coincide with the introduction of Real Time Information (RTI), which comes into effect from the start of the new tax-year. RedSky has been working hard to ensure that our software has the necessary functionality to support these changes and also to support pension auto-enrolment, which is being introduced gradually over the next few years (staging dates based on employer size). Throughout the afternoon of the event we will be running workshops demonstrating in detail the RTI and Auto-enrolment functionality for each product and answering any questions raised. All RedSkyIT solutions have been RTI enabled.

The Product Update session, which showcases new developments, will take some of the problems that payroll departments often face in managing information and documentation. Using RedSkyIT solutions we will demonstrate how all information relating to an employee, including Auto-enrolment correspondence can be stored securely and easily retrieved when needed removing the need for time consuming manual processes.

Keeping with the Payroll/HR theme we are delighted to confirm guest speakers at the event:

Kevin McCavish, Senior Partner with legal firm Shoosmiths, will discuss age discrimination in the workplace. From 1st October 2012, when The Equality Act 2010 came into effect, it became unlawful to discriminate on the basis of age. Kevin will examine the key points, look at recent cases of age discrimination, and offer advice to employers to help them keep within the law.

Kunjan Sembhi, also from Shoosmiths, will provide an expert overview of Auto-enrolment, looking at the key points and offering advice to employers. Auto-enrolment is set to be one of the most significant changes to the provision of pensions in the UK. From October 2012, employers will gradually be required to enrol employees earning over a set threshold into an auto-enrolment-compliant pension scheme. Even if your staging date is some time off this session will give you the information you will need.

Alan Stevenson, Director with top consultancy firm Jelf Group, will provide an introduction to employee benefit packages in particular Salary Sacrifice (also known as Salary Exchange). Alan will discuss how such schemes work and explain some of the employee and employer benefits. These schemes are becoming more widely adopted as employers look for ways to provide added benefits to their employees.

Following the success of the new 'Learning Lab' at the last event we are pleased to confirm that the Lab will return to provide delegates with the opportunity to book informal consultancy sessions with members of our Support and Consultancy teams.

Recent meetings attracted over 140 delegates. Complete the Registration Form HERE.
