Award-winning main contractor MP Brothers has decided to migrate from CONSTRUCT to Summit.
London-based MP Brothers is an experienced main contractor in private, commercial and public sector construction throughout the UK. It has vast experience in a range of industries and expertise in large apartment complexes, luxurious hotels, exclusive private flat projects and high-end care homes. It also carries out a wide range of sub-structure works in the demolition and civil engineering sectors.
After using RedSky’s legacy CONSTRUCT system for 15 years, Accounts and Finance Manager Minal Vaghela has decided to take the plunge and migrate to Summit: “The company has grown considerably over the last 15 years. Although CONSTRUCT has served us well during that period, I feel we’ve been dragging our feet a bit and it’s now time for us to move on.
“I’m the primary user, but my colleagues input day-to-day data on the system. I’m quite relaxed about the prospect of migrating to Summit on a like-for-like basis. It’s going to make life much easier in terms of Making Tax Digital in particular.”
In September Minal had a kick-off meeting with RedSky and received the migration schedule. The preparation work started in mid-October, including a test conversion. An onsite Summit orientation day with RedSky Consultant Ishbel Wise followed, later the same month.
MP Brothers is now in the user acceptance testing phase. Once all the preparation work and testing are complete, RedSky will migrate all MP Brothers’ data to Summit, including static information, current transactions and all historic data. This approach eliminates the need for re-keying and minimises downtime during the migration process.
“We’re aiming to go live with Summit in January,” said Minal. “I want to spend a bit of time getting used to the new system and then slowly start adding modules, one step at a time.”
