“Migrating will enable us to digitise more of our processes”

Like many companies, the lockdown lull in business activity gave Ballykine much-needed time for strategic planning. This prompted a decision to migrate to RedSky’s latest construction project management software.

Ballykine Structural Engineers Ltd has been a RedSky customer for more than 20 years. Financial Director Judith Thackray was becoming increasingly aware that by remaining on the AXiM legacy software, she was not benefiting from RedSky’s ongoing technological developments.

With business starting to pick up again following the lockdown, Judith decided the time was right to migrate to the latest RedSky system. “Migrating will enable us to digitise more of our processes,” she said. “The ability to email all documents direct from the system, including payslips and P60s, will introduce new ways of working that are a lot more efficient than our current, paper-based methods.”

Judith and her team are scheduled to have the migration kick-off meeting with RedSky next week.

Ballykine is a 40-year-old specialist structural steelwork fabricator based in County Down, Northern Ireland. It supplies, delivers and erects structural steelwork across the UK and Ireland, and can CE Mark all its products, including fabrication and welding.
