Brandwells to migrate to Summit

Bristol-based Brandwells Construction will migrate from AXiM to Summit with three brilliant, construction-specific modules in place.

During the last 46 years, Brandwells has grown to become one of the most highly regarded groundworks contractors in the South West and South Wales regions. Up to 300 operatives typically work on new housing infrastructure, house foundations, earthworks and reinforced concrete construction.

Finance Director Rob Schofield has decided to take the plunge by migrating to Summit, RedSky’s flagship enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. “We could have waited, but there were two or three things that I couldn’t do on AXiM that I’ll be able to do on Summit, to gain more control of the business. We thought we’d be better off doing them sooner rather than later,” he said.

Three Summit modules each carried equal weight in Rob’s decision to migrate now rather than in a year’s time. “The Invoice Register and the encrypted e-Payslips and P60s will save us a lot of time and should have a reasonable payback. Managed Timesheets will help us cut down on re-keying and reduce the potential for errors.”

Rob also plans to take full advantage of Summit’s many enhanced features, which will drive measurable improvements in performance and overall efficiency.

He’s undaunted by the migration process and looking forward to working with Summit to enhance the business. “The fact that we’re familiar with – and happy with – what we do on AXiM should mean that we have a smooth migration to Summit,” he said. “I’ve been to three User Conferences so far. When I go to the next one, everything will be more relevant, because I’ll actually be able to take advantage of what RedSky will be talking about.”

Rob will be meeting up with the RedSky team shortly to get the migration ball rolling.
