London Marathon 2024: Join us in achieving our fundraising goal

After months of gruelling training, 11 RedSky runners are preparing to run the race this Sunday. We’d love you to help us raise £17,000 for the Children with Cancer UK charity.

RedSky Development Manager Elizabeth Eyre knows only too well the suffering that young children with cancer often go through.

Her niece, Florence, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at 10 months old. After 20 months of extensive treatment, she lost her brave fight for life. Elizabeth saw the suffering Florence endured and the massive impact this had on the family. “It was a heartbreaking and very difficult journey,” she said.

The Children with Cancer UK charity provides much-needed support to children who have received a cancer diagnosis – and to their families. It’s also trailblazing the development of safer, kinder and more effective childhood cancer therapies and investing in research that would otherwise go unfunded.

The 11-strong RedSky team will be among more than 50,000 fundraisers who, on Sunday, will participate in a 26.2-mile race starting at Greenwich Park. The marathon route will take them past London landmarks, including the Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf, and Buckingham Palace before they cross the finish line in The Mall.

Our team is looking forward to the challenge and considers it a privilege to be able to support the brilliant work carried out by the Children with Cancer UK charity.

At the time of writing, our 11 runners have raised 67% of the team’s £17,000 target. Can you help to plug the fundraising gap? We invite you to donate on the Just Giving website to spur the RedSky team. Every penny counts!
