The latest company to sign up for RedSky’s cutting-edge construction management and accounting software is Peter Duffy Limited.
Based in Wakefield, Yorkshire, PDL is a privately owned civil engineering, utility and construction company. Its existing IT set-up consists of a core system together with a number of bolt-ons that can only ‘speak’ to each other using custom-built interfaces.
Frustrated with the current system’s inefficiencies, the company went to market in search of a construction-specific, integrated ERP (enterprise resource planning) solution capable of supporting the company’s growth ambitions.
“RedSky ticked all our boxes,” said Managing Director Peter Duffy. “Their experience in the market was a key factor. It was immediately clear that they understood the construction industry and its needs – and their product reflects that.”
PDL has purchased RedSky’s Commercial, Financial and Operational packages, with additional applications including Cost Value Reconciliation, Business Analytics and the Invoice Register, as well as Mobile Forms, Timesheets and Service Management. In all, there will be around 50 staff members using the RedSky system.
Peter is keen to implement RedSky: “It was a big decision. This is a major project and it will take a lot of commitment from our team to implement the new system, but I’m very excited about it.
“RedSky will give us far greater visibility, control and efficiency, and the whole thing will be much quicker, slicker and more streamlined. But what I’m looking forward to most is having an integrated system where all the data is held in one place and can be accessed easily, to inform our business decisions. It’s going to be a completely different world for us.”
