New customer TaperedPlus will be using RedSky’s construction project management and collaboration platform to transform the efficiency and accuracy of its processes.
With operational processes and systems spread across a number of different software programs, TaperedPlus General Manager Donna Wilson was becoming increasingly frustrated with the company’s inefficient working methods, which required a huge amount of internal email traffic to keep all staff in the loop.
The company’s CRM [customer relationship management system] is a Google-based live sheet with multiple pages. It also operates a separate invoice process and maintains a separate sales database.
Donna said: “It’s all very labour-intensive and there’s always a risk of introducing keying and cut-paste errors. For example, when we transfer information that’s been designed and quoted to a live order, we currently have to re-input all the information manually.”
RedSky’s Project Connect solution is the answer to Donna’s prayers. “Everyone will have their own specific dashboard showing real-time information,” she said. “Directors and managers will be working with live data rather than spreadsheets, and that’s sure to improve the quality of their decision-making.

“Our four project managers are really looking forward to using Project Connect. They are each responsible for preparing a monthly report for the management meeting. At the moment this a very onerous task because they have to extract a lot of detailed information from the Google sheet – things like the number of designs completed, quotes issued and orders raised per customer.
“It probably takes each of them around four hours to complete their report each month. But once we’ve set up the Project Connect templates, they’ll simply press a button and the report will auto-populate in a matter of seconds, based on the live data within the system. That alone will save us at least 16 hours of managerial time a month.
