RedSky software simplifies construction accounting for Rise Contracts Ltd, which will migrate to the latest ERP solution in spring 2025.
Rise was founded 17 years ago by Commercial Director Martin Pratt and Managing Director Stephen Murphy following the closure of the construction company where they both worked.
“We employed the accounts administrator from the previous company,” said Martin. “We also purchased the same RedSky accounts package, so that we could keep using a system that we all knew and were comfortable with.”
Simple and user-friendly
The company has grown steadily ever since, supported by RedSky software.
“It’s simple and user-friendly, and it does the basics very, very well,” said Martin. “It gives us everything we need, including bespoke cost headings, which allow us to allocate overheads and contract costs accurately and to generate the reports that we need to run the business efficiently. It does that simply, easily and effectively.
“However, it’s now time for us to migrate from our legacy system [AXiM] to the latest ERP solution. It will be good to move to a more modern, slicker and quicker system – and to know that we can access more functionality, if and when we need to.”
Construction-specific software
Rise uses RedSky to help the company meet industry compliance requirements too, like subcontractor insurance renewals, Domestic Reverse Charge VAT and Making Tax Digital. Post-migration, the team will be able to manage the CIS contractor reverifications on the system as well.
