Family business Tinnelly Group has selected our flagship Summit ERP system to help drive its ambitious growth plans.
Tinnelly Group is a multi-disciplined specialist contractor providing demolition, asbestos removal and metal recycling services either as standalone disciplines or as a combined package. It’s a family business that has spanned three generations. The Tinnelly Group operates across Ireland and the UK, with a workforce that combines experience and professionalism.
The company has experienced strong growth in recent years and plans to maintain this momentum. To facilitate this, the Group needed to move away from its reliance on a basic accounting system with spreadsheets. In particular, the Group wanted to address two big issues: duplication of entries – with multiple Excel spreadsheets on the go, the risk of errors and inaccuracies was high; and reporting that was based on out-of-date information.
In November 2018, the Group signed up with RedSky. In addition to the Summit Core System, it purchased Purchase Order Processing (with Plant), Business Analytics and Document Management (with Email Archiving, Workflow Alerting and Forms).
Financial Director Roisin Franklin said: “A big business win for us will be control over Procurement because we now have full visibility of commitments on projects and jobs. We can also now control and put in place a systems-based workflow for approvals and authorities within the procurement process.
“Business Analytics is going to be a big help within the business. With our reporting, we were always working with inaccurate, out-of-date figures, but that’s all about to change because we’re in the process of implementing the Summit Business Analytics module. This will give the Executives, the Commercial team and the Project Managers access to immediate, real-time information on user-friendly dashboards – armed with that information, they’ll be able to make timely decisions to control efficiencies and project spend.
“The Document Management module will reach across a number of elements of the business. It’s going to be particularly useful in the area of health and safety. Having a process-based system in place will result in efficiencies and give us more control over our health and safety documents. For example, we’ll be using Mobile Forms to capture data and we’ll be setting up templated standards.
