WD Lewis looks to the future

After more than 20 years on legacy product AXiM, WD Lewis is taking steps to futureproof the business by migrating to RedSky’s latest construction project management software.

Migrating to the new system has been on the cards for some time at WD Lewis. Finance Manager Nicola Jones said: “We’ve been using AXiM for our operational processes since before the Millennium and have decided that now is the right time to move things on to the next level.

“We have lots of former suppliers and subcontractors still on the system, along with some very old contract data that we no longer need. So we’re going to be doing some heavy pruning – a full-on data cleanse – ahead of the migration, to maximise our efficiency and get the most out of our new RedSky system.”

WD Lewis will be taking advantage of RedSky’s fully integrated Core Financials, Fixed Assets, Invoicing, Purchase Order Processing and Trade Counter modules.

Based in Aberdare, the WDL group primarily operates across South Wales and has three divisions: WDL Concrete Products Ltd – production and supply of concrete block products to the domestic and commercial building industries; WDL Contracting Ltd – house-building contractors; and WDL Homes Ltd – sale of new-build properties.
